The Acutronic Mistral universal jet ventilator is intended as the replacement for the AMS-3000. The Mistral is designed for use in operating theatres of ENT (ORL) surgery, for rigid bronchoscopy or resuscitation in case of difficult intubation.
The ventilator uses microprocessor technology to control the airway pressure and therefore reduces the risk of barotrauma in case of occluded airways. In airway surgery e.g., trachea sleeve resection, vocal cord surgery or stent implantation, jet ventilation with the Acutronic Mistral provides excellent visibility and accessibility for the surgeon.
For long term application (more than 45 minutes), we recommend the use of the Acutronic Monsoon III Jet Ventilator which is equipped with an effective heating and humidification system, thus reducing damage of the airway mucosa and reduces the risk of patient cooling.
