CosMed FitMate Indirect Calorimetry System
The CosMed FitMate is a compact, desktop indirect calorimetry system designed to measure Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR), Resting Energy Expenditure (REE), and Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR). As one of the first portable metabolic analyzers of its kind, the FitMate delivers accurate, real-time oxygen consumption (VO2) measurement in a simple and efficient format.
How the FitMate Works
Ideal for clinical, wellness, and performance environments, the FitMate provides reliable metabolic testing without the complexity of larger systems. The FitMate measures oxygen consumption (VO2) in real time using a patented dynamic mixing chamber that samples expired gas. Gas exchange data is collected continuously and averaged every 30 seconds (or longer), ensuring stable and clinically useful results.
At the completion of testing, results are printed instantly using the built-in thermal printer.
